Ohhh Joy!  This is a "toy" I have been waiting to get my hands on for years.   Recent price reductions made that possible.  Through my years of running Gas R/C cars, I have found many tools like this that have a 2 fold purpose for R/C and Computer geek stuff.   In R/C temps are as critical if not more then in PC's, so it is required to have an accurate, and portable temp device.  When I was shopping at the local hobby store I saw the price fell to below 100$ for it, I had to have it.   All I can say since I bought it is, "what took me so long!?"

As you can see its a real sleek and small temp gun.  ohh.. wait... what's that? a zit on my monitor?... Noooo, a frick'n LASER! (sorry bad Austin Powers joke).  Yep folks this 100$ temp gun comes with a targeting laser so you can tell exactly what you are reading.  This is very useful if you are taking a temp from in a crowded case and need to know exactly what you are aiming at.  This laser is TOO much fun, I almost blinded myself a few times, and drove the woodland creatures outside my apt nutz :).

The laser is just for targeting, all the temp sensing is done by that big translucent disc covers an IR temp sensor.
