Matrox Millennium G400MAX Video Card Review By: Joe

Review : Matrox Millennium G400 MAX 32mb DH

There it is! All the matrox goodness you can swallow. The PCB is surprisingly small for all that it does, it is a fraction of the size that may Marvel G200 is.

Sorry for the crappy images :)

Unlike its 16mb cousin, the 32mb version (MAX and Non-MAX) have the ram spread between 8 chips 4 on the front and 4 on the back. The MAX version is sporting 5ns 240Mhz SEC SGRam.  Yes I said 240Mhz. The RAM DAC is a 360Mhz, but the ram runs at a 1.5 divisor of 360.

Here is the DAC in all its glory.  Now hidden under a heatsink unlike its lower speed cousins on the Marvel an other Non-MAX matrox cards that run at a lower 300Mhz.

The Techy Junk
